Have a Summer Fling With Johnny Whitworth

The hot, lazy days of summer are finally among us. I love feeling the warm sun and all of the memories that summer invokes for me. I never miss the chance to get out on the beach or in the water. Love it.

Soaking up the sun and surf may not be your thing, but whatever you do, be sure and seize the days of summer as they go by all to quick. Some of the most magical moments can happen for you during summer if you let them.

Make your summer sizzle by getting caught up on Johnny Whitworth's movies and TV episodes he's appeared in over the years. At the end of hot, busy day, rent or buy something from your list, flick the air conditioning on, (get a glass of wine if you're me) and spend an hour or two with Johnny. At the end of the summer, you'll be able to say you've seen everything he's ever been in and you'll be an even bigger fan.

Reach for Me Cast To Be Honored in L.A. Sorta.

The Downtown Film Festival- Los Angeles is celebrating Johnny Whitworth's yet-to-be-released film, Reach for Me, during their Centerpiece Gala on Friday August 14th. They will be honoring Seymour Cassel beginning with the full red carpet treatment at 6:30pm followed by a 7pm tribute to Seymour at which he'll receive a Lifetime Achievement Award and then of course a screening of Reach for Me follows at 7:30pm.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Seymour Cassel, he is an Academy Award-Nominated Actor and a legend in is own right , having appeared in close to 200 tv/film productions. I think he's great, always been a favorite of mine.

That being said, and me being me, WHERE'S JOHNNY WHITWORTH'S AWARD??! I'm just sayin'.

Watch the Reach for Me trailer. Johnny plays Kevin, a terminally ill hottie. (I know, I'm so inappropriate sometimes.) He gets my vote once again for his heartbreaking yet inspiring performance.

WHERE'S JOHNNY WHITWORTH'S AWARD??!

The 2nd Annual Downtown Film Festival - Los Angeles will be held Wednesday, August 12 to Saturday, August 22, 2009 and the cast of Reach for Me will be introduced by Festival Director Roger Mayer.

WHERE'S JOHNNY WHITWORTH'S AWARD??!

This is what friends are for, to find out where your awards are.

Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.

I'm Back to Bring You More Johnny

Morning JW friends and fans, this site is like a guilty pleasure for me, I miss it when I'm away.

I spent a quick 36 hours in smokin' hot South Beach letting the ultra-talented restauranteur and my very good friend Billy show me how they do things in South Beach. Hot hot hot, I mean it. He's been dying to get me down there for a visit and it was worth every second- thanks Billy! BTW, Billy said he's a Johnny Whitworth fan and while he's met most of the cast of CSI Miami when he was in Los Angeles, he hasn't met Johnny yet!

So I'm a bit behind, now you know where I was and why I have some catching up to do! And I do have a few new updates for our devoted Johnny Whitworth fans- I'll be back later on to post them for you ;)

Happy Monday people,

A Moment for Michael and Farrah

Unbelievable news today, huh?

We don't know if Johnny Whitworth was a fan, but Michael Jackson was a big deal for my friends and I growing up. And I still love Thriller, awesome awesome awesome. So many of his songs were just great.

And Farrah's gone too, I wouldn't be half the woman I am today without having watched Charlie's Angels all those years. I kid. But she was a sweetheart of a lady from what we hear, I'm sorry she had such a difficult time in the end.

Sad news today indeed. RIP to two cool icons from our past.

Johnny Whitworth Circa 2001 in Valentine

See Johnny as Max Raimi in Valentine(2001) tonight at 9:00pm EST on MoreMAX (Cinemax)

"Roses are red, violets are blue, they'll need dental records to identify you," reads the calling card of a killer in this slick holiday-themed slasher film. The horror opens at a Valentine's Day dance where a nerdy young boy is totally humiliated by the girls...and beaten senseless by the boys. Cut (literally) to thirteen years later, as a young medical student's date ends in murder. Soon after, the victim's shocked friends Paige (Denise Richards), Kate (Marley Shelton), Dorothy (Jessica Capshaw) and Lily (Jessica Cauffiel) receive Valentines that promise more bloody mayhem. One by one, each girl is brutally dispatched as they desperately try to figure out the madman's identity and stop his reign of terror.

Sounds like a solid slasher flick, hmmm?

---------
Quotes for Max Raimi (Johnny's Character) from Valentine(2001)

[to Lily Voight]

Max Raimi: What's the problem?

Lily Voight: The problem is that you turned out to be a cheap, hypocritical sleazeball!

Max Raimi: Yeah, but you knew that. So... does this mean you're not gonna be my Valentine?

lol.

Valediction Details Emerge: Johnny's In!

It's an Eliza Dushku link but it appears to confirm that Johnny Whitworth may definitely in fact be a co-star in Valediction (2010), an exciting, new movie now in production!

http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2009/06/15/exclusive-dollhouse-star-eliza-dushku-reveals-details-of-new-thriller-valediction/

No further details yet but keep it here for news on this new film as it starts developing.

'Valediction' (2010) Update: Is Johnny In or Out?

I don't know, peeps, the IMDb page is up for the new movie 'Valediction' (that some have been speculating Johnny Whitworth would be cast in) but his name isn't coming up on their cast list. It's kind of strange though, none of the bigger names like Danny Glover, Eliza Dushku and JOHNNY WHITWORTH are listed, so who knows what's up. All things are subject to change when a production begins filming so we'll have to wait it out.

Take a look at the page for Valediction (2010):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1452301/

Only JW can tell us for sure if he's in on this project, but we'll keep digging for ya and see what comes up.

my frozen margarita is calling me now.

New Johnny Whitworth Movie in Production?

A new indie flick "Valediction" is now filming at various locales around Boston including the posh Whiskey Park at the Boston Park Plaza hotel on Arlington Street. And we've heard that your fave, Mr. Johnny Whitworth, is on the cast roster. BUT that is unconfirmed and we'll try and dig up more info asap for you.

"Valediction" (tentatively) will star Danny Glover, Brenda Fricker, Sara Roemer, Ben Barnes, Johnny Whitworth and Eliza Dushku to name a few. It sounds like an exciting cast with some very cool people working together.

The premise of the film ?
When a car accident leaves a father fighting for his daughter’s life, his journey for the pieces of the puzzle that will save her lead him to discover it’s actually his life that he is fighting for.

Sounds like something I'd go see, would you?

So we hope that we can bring you confirmed news that Johnny is indeed involved in this project and that his character doesn't get killed off in the first 10 minutes of the film. This guy could easily carry a leading role...we're waiting patiently.

It's all good,

Johnny Whitworth Trivia...True or False?

Johnny's most devoted fans are asking for more of the inside scoop, saying that there is so little current info available on him that one would think he quit acting. This gives me the LOL's. But this is how passionate his fans are- they want more. He hasn't quit acting but if I had to guess, I'd say he's a low profile kind of guy.

Here's some of the most popular bits about Johnny Whitworth- some cool and some totally useless facts (maybe more like myths, and no I didn't create any of them) that still circulate in cyberspace.

Feel free to send in any corrections, I'm not so sure about a couple of them.

And Johnny, we KNOW there's more interesting facts about you, anything you want your fans to know? ;)

Drumroll please...

He looks like his uncle Bobby.

Johnny had to shed about 30 pounds for his role in The Rainmaker.

Johnny is often seen wearing a St. Christopher medal around his neck which was given to him by a female fan.

Johnny is right-handed.

Johnny has a tattoo of the astrological Scorpio symbol on his upper right arm.

Johnny was named after his father.

Johnny used to be in a band called Tantrum.

Johnny loves the Hot Wings Cafe.

Johnny has a brother named Danny and in addition he has three older half-brothers.

Johnny saw the movie Heathers over 50 times.

When he was 3 years old, Johnny was attacked by a Great Dane which left him a scar on his upper lip.

His favorite holidays are Christmas and Halloween.

Johnny is 6' (1.83 m). (Are you guys sure about this one??)

Johnny went to Beverly Hills High School after he moved to Los Angeles, CA.

I wonder how many of these have changed since they were first published? Like maybe he's seen Heathers over 100 times by now or maybe he doesn't love the Hot Wings Cafe anymore? (how could you not?) More silly stuff coming at you later.

Live like there's no tomorrow.

Johnny Whitworth in Factory Tonight 6/11/09

Catch Factory Girl (2006) tonite, Thursday June 11th at 10:00pm on TMC.

Factory Girl is an American biopic based on the life of socialite and 1960s underground film star Edie Sedgwick. The film premiered in Los Angeles on December 29, 2006. Look for Johnny Whitworth in the role of "Silver George".

If you're not a big fan of Sienna Miller or Andy Warhol for that matter, you might not like the movie but nonetheless, it's another Johnny Whitworth film for you to watch and that's what you want, right?

Gotta run!

Johnny Whitworth in Kiss the Bride, Sunday 6/7

Don't forget JW fans, you can catch Johnny tonight, Sun. 6/7 in Kiss the Bride at 8:00 PM on CW.

Kiss the Bride is about three sisters who return home for a fourth sisters wedding. One sister is a rocker, one a successful business woman on Wall Street and the other a successful actress. All the old baggage from the past comes to light just before the wedding in some pretty funny ways.

Look for Johnny Whitworth in the role of "Marty Weinberg" as boyfriend/manager to one of the sisters, Nikki. Released in 2002, it's a pretty cute movie- you just might love it.

Have a spectacular rest of your weekend, fans & friends!

Johnny's still looking pretty good for the drug addict he portrays in this film. What's it gonna take to make him look bad? Can't be done!

This movie looks great, I can't wait. JW fans, we hope you go see it as soon as it's released (August 2009)!

Lionsgate Releases New Pics for Gamer with Johnny Whitworth

So there's two movies that I know of that are being released this year with your very own Mr. Johnny Whitworth. Are you excited? Won't you be royally pissed if he gets killed off at the very beginning of either movie like in 3:10 to Yuma? Ugh that was soo disappointing. Giddyup.

Anyway, let's hammer away at promoting his new movies, The Things We Carry and Gamer. ALL of Johnny's fans need to know that he has new releases this year so they can take their friends to the movie and turn them into JW fans too. If he's not a superstar yet, he will be soon!

Johnny is cast in the role of "Scotch" in Gamer, due out on 9/4/09 and Lionsgate has released a new batch of stills. Sorry, none with JW in them (I know, we were robbed.) but take a peek and see what you think. It may or may not be your cup of tea but ya gotta go see Johnny, right?

Besides it has a pretty hot cast (besides Johnny) with Gerard Butler, Alison Lohman, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael C. Hall, John Leguizamo, Terry Crews, Logan Lerman, Keith David, Zoe Bell, Kyra Sedgwick, Aaron Yoo, Amber Valletta, Sam Witwer & Efren Ramirez.

Check out the new stills here (might have to copy and paste link, it's giving me a hard time) at:

Johnny Whitworth Helped Make 'Reach for Me' a Double Winner!

A crowd of well over 200 filmmakers and film fans packed the ballroom of the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa for the Filmmaker Awards Luncheon on Sunday, April 5, 2009. Was Johnny there, you ask?

Top prize went to "Reach for Me" - director LeVar Burton's heartfelt tribute to love in the face of aging, cancer, and death. "Reach for Me" received both the Best Feature Film Award and the Best of the Festival Award.

So, Seymour Cassell (who plays the role of Alvin) was up there on stage (is he a filmmaker?) with the people receiving the rewards but I gotta ask...WHERE WAS JOHNNY WHITWORTH? Did he get invited? Did he decline the invitation? Was he in the audience? Fans are demanding more Johnny Whitworth appearances (Seymour is great but let's face it, Johnny Whitworth is drawing the fans these days), so why didn't he get a shout out at the Awards Luncheon? I'm just sayin'. Maybe someone knows why but enquiring minds want to know.

Maybe he's busy with new projects! We can only hope, right? Anyway, I posted the clip of the award winning filmmakers doing their thing in case you're interested but unfortunately you won't catch a glimpse of Johnny here. Sorry.

Happy Monday!
xoxo
