Johnny Whitworth: My Better Guest Star Choice for SVU

I TiVo certain shows and try and get caught up at 3 or 4am when I can't sleep. One of the shows I try to catch is Law & Order SVU because I love love love Mariska Hargitay.

The other night, Wentworth Miller was on the season premiere. Anyone see this? He was killing me and not in a good way. All I'm going to say is that there are better roles for him. I think he's a hottie for sure, but it stops for me right there. Not all eye candy is created equal.

So the more Wentworth Miller made me squirm everytime he had lines, the more I was convinced that Johnny Whitworth could be a stellar guest star on SVU. In fact, I'm thinking it's time to replace Munch. 'Cause when I see Munch, all I see is this:



I know I know- Munch is a viewer fave. I'm not trying to mess with him. But Johnny Whitworth as a permanent new detective on SVU is a no-brainer for drawing in an even wider audience. But what do I know. I know this: we need to at least see Johnny Whitworth guest star once, ok Neal Baer?

Less Wentworth, more Whitworth.

Boston Film Festival TTWC Photo Update

Why do they send me an entire pitcher of Mimosa's to my room before our lunch meeting? Just sayin'.

It's a rare anomaly to see so many popular actors down in "popularity" on IMDb. JW may be down for the week, but so are all of the other big names. And he still ranked higher than the lead actors in Gamer.

The Things We Carry: Reviews Wanted

Sorry fans & friends, I don't have any of the much anticipated reviews or photos yet from last nights world premiere of The Things We Carry. Maybe some details will begin to surface today or tomorrow.

So, I missed my flight last night thanks to a chatty state trooper who thought it was okay to ask me out after he pulled me over outside of the terminal. COME.ON. He managed to drag the encounter out for 20 minutes , I was dying. I was really late to begin with, but he didn't help. It's all good though, I got where I needed to go at the end of the day.

Anyway, if we had anyone in Cambridge, MA last night for The Things We Carry screening or you heard how it went, give me a shout if you want to share.

True Blood Overdose

Sweet bejeezus, I watched more tv this weekend than I have all summer. I made it through both seasons of True Blood, and I'm starting to see what all the fuss is about. Great show, hot actors. I did not say Johnny Whitworth hot, just plain hot. There's a difference ya' know.

I'm on the fence still, I have to find another hour or two in my day to be able to do what they want. Easier said than done- don't worry, I won't cheat on Johnny. His FanSite, of course.

Jo Votes for Johnny Whitworth: Primetime Emmy Awards

I know I know, don't freak out. He wasn't nominated, so he didn't win. Still, Johnny Whitworth should have been nominated for a shiny new Primetime Emmy Award for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series. Next time, Jake Berkeley.

I can't sit through the Emmy's to save my life. Listening to the acceptance speeches makes me squirm, I can't explain it. However, I would have TiVo'd the show and fast forwarded through the speeches if I heard Johnny Whitworth was nominated. And I would have even listened to his speech if he won, not just mute the tv and watch. Tell me I'm not dedicated.

The Power of Johnny Whitworth

Special thanks to a very cool gal whose office likes our Johnny Whitworth FanSite so much, she has formally asked me to create and manage a similar site for an ultra-popular cast member of the HBO Series, True Blood.

I told her I gotta' feel it to be able to do what I do, you know? I've never even seen or heard of this actor, but apparently, he's a big hottie too. I'll be the judge of that. So I just committed myself to watching Season 1 and 2 (within 48 hours) of a series I've never even laid eyes on. No pressure though.

She did say that she knows of Johnny Whitworth and his work and that she melts whenever she sees him. And not alot of guys in Hollywood do that to her. Awww! I told her I'd be mentioning her JW crush on my site and she said she wanted me to, as long as we didn't name names. You got it.

Johnny Whitworth Fans Wanna Know

Oh yes. I get some interesting emails. It's time to release the short list of curiosities I've collected from some of Johnny's fans.

For the record, I do not know:

home phone number, cell phone number, where he lives, shoe size, boxers or briefs, license plate number, social security number, what time he's going to be at (fill in the blank), if that profile on myspace is really him, how to get on set where he is filming, who he is dating, are there any shirtless photos of him, if he has any pets, his favorite salad dressing, what's on his ipod, or if he reads this site.

Some of you guys kill me with lol's, especially the salad dressing fan. I still cannot figure out why we would need to know this. I'm thinking though, maybe it's best that we don't actually know why.

The Things We Carry World Premiere Info

Great news...

The world premiere of “The Things We Carry” starring Johnny Whitworth (he's totally the star of the movie- top billing on IMDb, check it out) will be screening at some exciting events on both coasts over the next month or so:

The 25th Boston Film Festival on Monday, Sept 21st at 7pm in Cambridge. Tickets for the screening are available at the theaters’ box office or by calling (617) 499-1996 or at www.landmarktheaters.com

TTWC is also screening at the Hollywood Film Festival on Sun, Oct 25th, 5pm @ the Arclight. I think you'll be able to get tickets here at the Arclight Cinemas as soon as they post Octobers schedule.

And lastly, for now, TTWC will be screening at the San Diego Asian Film Festival which runs October 15-29, 2009 but I can't find all the info yet!

Also, follow Screenwriter Alyssa Lobit's blog for new updates about The Things We Carry. For now, the new release date for the movie is December 2009.

So, I'm an impatient girl. I just checked Johnny's Wiki (calm down) and was waiting for a sexy photo to pop up on his page finally. But, no. Who's working on this one? Should I start sketching? kidding.

My Johnny Whitworth Thought of The Day

I really want to see Johnny Whitworth's Wikipedia page updated with a photo. Wikipedia is kind of picky about where images come from so unless I personally take a snapshot of Johnny or, wait for it...draw a picture of him, I don't own the image and can't submit one for his page.

Please don't make me draw a photo. I can manage a decent stick figure with some three fingered hands and feet and maybe some hair on top but that's about all.

Not dropping any hints or anything but, a manager, publicist or the actor himself can easily submit an image to Wiki so that the fans who search for him every day can see his gorgeous face right away. Instant gratification.

It's time to update Johnny Whitworth's Wiki page with a smokin' publicity pic. You know I'd do it myself but even I have to follow the rules every now and then. Besides, I don't think they'd accept a photo with the words hot or yum doodled across it.

UK Release of Gamer Delayed

Sounds like some of Johnny Whitworth's fans have to wait a little longer- the UK release of Gamer has been delayed. I'm not sure if it's the 16th, 17th or 18th but I hear that ads on British tv have it pushed out until mid-September.

GAMER Reviews

The Gamer reviews are starting to pop up, some good, some bad but you can expect that from any new movie release. Some of the dorks that call themselves "movie critics" take themselves waaay too seriously. Ignore the haters who get off on sucking all the fun out of going to see a movie and forming an opinion for yourself.

From what I've heard, it's getting excellent reviews with one particular demographic- younger, male, video game players. My guess is that this was part of the plan all along. But it's also drawing in females of all ages in who want to see Gerard Butler but will come find us right here after they see Johnny Whitworth and start googling him.

I haven't been able to go see it yet, my plans changed and I'm in So. Beach for a few days but I promise to post my review as soon as I lay eyes on Johnny as 'Scotch'!
