All Sorts of Stuff

Ta-da!...we have a new header for the site in case you didn't notice. Love it or hate it? I'm no graphic design expert, let me know if it looks awful to you guys, k?

I'm delirious with the flu, it's driving me nuts. I fell asleep and had a bad dream about the time I stole my teachers scissors in the second grade and started cutting off all the hair on Miles Branson's head. I wasn't trying to hurt him, I just didn't understand why his hair was longer than mine. It's ok, he got me back somewhere in the 4th grade when he put superglue in my braids.

Anyway. Flu + Jo = Bad Dreams

One of my most favorite days of the year happens to be Halloween, not to mention Johnny Whitworth's birthday. Wonder where he's taking me to celebrate? Leave a comment/birthday wish for Johnny or send me an email at socialjo@myspace.com and I'll get it posted for you.

"Valediction" Becomes "Locked In"

"Valediction", the movie Johnny Whitworth was filming in Boston earlier this year is no longer 'Valediction'. You can now call it "Locked In". 'Cause they like to change names of movies and confuse people.

Anyway, IMDb has updated the new name status for "Locked In" and you can read more about the movie here.

And thanks to Jane for sending me the link for the new trailer! Awesome awesome awesome with JW in the opening scene and the movie looks great.

And I'm sorry, Ben Barnes doesn't do it for me, I'm not feelin' him. Thank GOODNESS for Johnny Whitworth, right? (total babe that he is.)

Reach for Me Updates

As many of us pondered whether or not Johnny Whitworth was livin' la vida loca in Las Vegas for the "Reach for Me" screening, there was some good things happening for the producers/director/cast:

"Susan Rogers (producer), Charlene Blaine-Schulenberg (producer), Angelo Giordano, Seymour Cassel and Christine Giordano strike a pose at a screening of the film 'Reach For Me' directed by La Var Burton at AARP's Vegas@50+ Expo at The Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Award winning Olympia Dukakis and Louis Zorich were also spotted with huge smiles. Giordano World Entertainment, the film's distributor, will be holding a premiere of the film in Las Vegas in January 2010."

http://www.timessquaregossip.com/2009/10/reach-for-me-aarp-las-vegas-screening.html

and

"Giordano World Entertainment will be premiering the film "Reach For Me" at The Las Vegas Hilton in January of 2010 with a star-studded red carpet event featuring the film's stars Seymour Casell, Lacey Chabert, Johnny Whitworth, Adrianne Barbeau and director LaVar Burton."

http://www.vegasnews.com/14684/seymor-cassel-returns-to-vegas-for-reach-for-me-screening-attends-voices.html

(thanks Jane !)

I would love to be able to bring you photos of Johnny from the AARP event, but we've only seen Seymour. Yep. Seymour drinking wine. Seymour smoking a cigar. Seymour with the ladies. He's awesome, but Johnny is easier on the eyes, no?

And more great news for "Reach for Me" from their Facebook page:

"REACH FOR ME played to sold out crowds, standing ovations and swept another top award at the prestigious SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!! BEST FEATURE - AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD and SEYMOUR CASSEL received the festival's INDIE ICON AWARD!!"

Congratulations on the awards! Where's Johnny Whitworth's award?!

Johnny Whitworth FanSite Milestone

We just passed our 200th post this weekend and we're closing in on 10,000 views from fans and friends of Johnny Whitworth. Yay!

While I might not always have the most pertinent Johnny Whitworth information (I only have so much to work with, k?) and I tend to do things like doodle on photos and make you roll your eyes with my life stories- I'm grateful to the extremely loyal fan base that craves JW and keeps coming back for more.

Gamer Coming to Blu-ray in January

Wow...Gamer news!

"Lionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed plans to bring the Gerard Butler thriller Gamer to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on January 19, 2010.

Gamer is set in the near-future where gaming has evolved into a high concept where people play video games with their own lives. Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges and Kyra Sedgwick co-star.

Pre-order Gamer on Blu-ray for $27.99 at Amazon.com "

Johnny if I buy this and your character bites it in the first 10 minutes (I won't name any names 3:10 to Yuma), I can't watch the rest of the movie.

I'm kidding-- fans and friends, go pre-order Gamer tomorrow!

Fan Fun with Johnny

No, this is definitely not me.

Johnny Whitworth being all kinds of smokin' hot with a professional celebrity chaser named Karen. I don't know when it's from (CSI era?) but enjoy it before Karen gets pissed that I wrote "I'm gonna faint" coming out of her head on her hottest photo.

Johnny Whitworth: Wanted in the U.K...TAKE TWO

Okay let me try this again!

Some of you emailed me wanting to know about a mystery post from last night. It seems as though it showed up in your email but when you click on the link you get an error page and it's not showing up on the site (or something like that). Somehow it got stuck in cyberspace between the PUBLISH POST and SAVE NOW buttons. Don't ask me how it happened. I typed it fast, then noticed some typos but ran out of time to finish it. I know you love me typos and all, but I try not to post too much incoherent material.

ANYWAY...land the plane Jo, I know...

Here's the new and improved post-

Hayley of the U.K. left a great comment this weekend that I wanted to make sure didn't get missed-

"Love your website. I'm so madly in love with Johnny but live in England, so will probably never get to see him. If you ever get wind of him making a trip to the U.K for any reason, pleeeeeease post it on your website. I would pass hell and high water just to meet him."

What a fan. Johnny, Hayley needs you in the UK.

Thanks for your comment Hayley! And never say never, girl.

xoxo

More Valley of the Sun Fun

Friday Night Fiasco

Things happen to me, you guys know this right? I had to attend a charity event with a Halloween theme tonight. Ok, let's just call it a costume party. So one of my girlfriends gets all excited and wants to pick up costumes for a few of us.

My costume was.....wait for it....... a cat. OHHH yes. I think the last time I was a kitty, I was 7 years old. No big deal though, I can have a good time wearing a paper bag if I have to, you know?

So the costume doesn't have a tail sewn in, it's a CLIP-ON TAIL. Yeah, wtf is right. For some reason, it was like 4 feet long, all dragging behind me when I walked. I'm 5'7" but I'm telling you, this tail was made for a 6 foot kitty.

But here's where the fun starts. Halfway through the night, and a couple of glasses of chardonnay later, I'm sorry but I have to use the ladies room. This is a big project because the costume consists of a bodysuit and tights and of course, the 10 foot tail. I'm in the stall pulling eveything back up and the turbo toilet flushes behind me.

Apparently, my tail found it's way into the toilet while I was re-dressing. The suction from the automatic flush pulled the clip right off my bodysuit and before I knew it, my TAIL was being sucked into the toilet. It was a lost cause. I wasn't going in after it, k? The really bad part is that I had to flush it again to make the last foot of it disappear forever.

I had to do the walk of shame out of the restroom 'cause the toilet ate my tail.

Good times!

Reach for Me at AARP Expo

AARP is currently celebrating Movies for Grownups at their expo event, Vegas@50+ in Las Vegas, NV: October 22nd - 24th

The Movies for Grownups film festival has come together with a compelling line up of first-run and award-winning films.

Today, 10/23 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Reach for Me (Directed by LeVar Burton, starring Johnny Whitworth, Alfre Woodard, Adrienne Barbeau, and Seymour Cassel) is on the schedule of films to be shown.

And according to Vegas Deluxe yesterday,

*Singer Lana Misalucha, who headlines in Voices at the Las Vegas Hilton, plays host at her show tonight to actresses Adrienne Barbeau and Lacey Chabert, Academy Award nominee Seymour Cassel and actor Johnny Whitworth. They are all here for tomorrow’s screening of their movie "Reach for Me", which is being shown at the AARP Expo in the resort’s convention halls. Actor LeVar Burton directed the film, and the local screening is in advance of upcoming theatrical distribution.

And of course... I have noo idea if Johnny Whitworth will actually be there. He must be a busy guy these days. In any event, the Las Vegas Hilton is always good for a little debauchery- hope everyone has a fabulous time ;)

Monday Night Miscellaneous Thought

So I had CSI: Miami on tonight while I was packing. Yes, a new episode about e.coli bacteria. That's right, e.coli. Are they running out of ideas? And then there was Eddie Cibrian. I'm sorry ladies, I'm still not feelin' him.

I decided that Johnny Whitworth made the.. hmm, how do I say it?..less sexy.. male cast members get lost in Jake Berkeley's dust. So my theory is that they had no choice but to cast a less distracting actor for this seasons new role. Someone's gotta make Jonathon Togo look good, right? kidding! Seriously though, JW brought all kinds of heat to CSI:Miami that doesn't seem to be there now. Helloo Eddie Cibrian.

Just bring back Jake Berkeley and I'll stop.

Valley of the Sun Pic

Vick Velour. It really requires no further explanation does it?

Love it.

TTWC Additional Screening Date

More great news for "The Things We Carry" and its Hollywood Film Festival screening!

And "Reach For Me" is playing another festival next weekend -

"Veteran character actor Seymour Cassel, who will be honored at Wichita’s seventh annual Tallgrass Film Festival next weekend..."

"One of the 2008 films, “Reach for Me” will be showcased at Tallgrass on Saturday."

Thanks to Jane for the updates :) Hope this evening went fantastic for TTWC cast & crew at the SDAFF West Coast premiere!

And to wrap up my weekend, my friend Billy wanted his mother to meet me tonight while I'm still in FL, so he brings her from Miami to Tampa for dinner. We meet, and as soon as he turns his back, she looks me up and down for a solid minute and asks me if my green eyes are REAL and do I realize what I do to her son. Who says that? And how do you answer that? Good times. It was a short dinner.

Where's Johnny Whitworth when you need him?

Valley of the Sun 10/17 Article

Terrific article about the filming of Valley of the Sun in the retirement community of Sun City, Arizona... where you know those senior ladies are trying to get a closer look at Johnny Whitworth and wishing they were 40 years younger.

http://www.yourwestvalley.com/news/mcintyre-9585-director-attracts.html

Didn't get any sleep last night so taking a nap on the beach for an hour or two sounds like a good way to go start the day, no?

Thursday Night Thoughts

OK I'm still at the beach where there's a terrific sushi bar everyone wanted to try tonight. I tried to eat a California Roll again (peer pressure) but seaweed in my mouth just makes me crazy, I can't do it. My face gets flush, my eyes water, it's a bad scene. I felt like I was drooling too but they all swear I wasn't. Sake makes everything better though, you know?

So I have to excuse myself halfway through the fun for this...

Behind The Scenes with Valley of the Sun

Valley of the Sun (Recap)
Valley of the Sun is a dramatic comedy that follows the story of Andy Taggert (or is it Taggart? I don't know), a man who suffers a mid-life identity crisis (adult film star) and finds himself in the most unlikely of places, an Arizona retirement community.

So I think it's official, right? Andy is being played by Johnny Whitworth in this new movie. In fact, Johnny Whitworth appears to be the main character in this movie. We've been waiting for this, no? Go ahead and do a pee-my-pants-happy-dance.

Yep. Anyway..

Follow the production of Valley of the Sun at http://www.valleyofthesunfeaturefilmblog.com/

Here's a post from the other day, love it:

"There are some kinks to be worked out. Johnny Whitworth, our lead actor, gives some feedback on the rehearsal and shooting process. They have been doing the scene in chunks, often out of sequence, and he finds himself getting lost emotionally. He doesn't always know where his character his coming from and where he's going. This seems to be a common theme among actors, one that I encountered on my own shoot. Their job requires them to be so fully in the moment that they are quite dependent on the director to help them organize their emotional beats. Johnny suggests that they rehearse the scenes in continuity beforehand, and then afterwards they can shoot the parts in any order they want. At the end of the day, Stokes, Kimball, and the 1st AD agree on this revised plan."

JW finds himself getting lost emotionally. We're all here for you babe, does that help? kidding, I understand more than I let on. And this is going to be stellar work from Johnny Whitworth.

Valley of The Sun Fun

Kidnapped by my babe-of-a-friend Billy (he's in previous posts, let's not re-hash too much,k) who came over to my side of Florida today for a visit-then spent hours on his fancy little speedboat making waves up and down the coast. Tons of fun, killer bikini lines, ridiculous looking sunburn on my face where I forgot to put sunblock and now I'm totally wiped out..

In other news... last night I posted Johnny's new project, Valley of the Sun (2010). From what I hear, he's currently filming on location in Arizona. Who knows, I can't verify that one.

But someone sent this one in to me today. And the dork that wrote this casting call spelled Johnny Whitworth's name wrong. So now, you'll probably not recognize any of the names. But here ya go..

Movie Extras Needed for Feature Film "Valley of the Sun"
Now Casting Attractive Males and Females to play Adult Film Stars for pool party scene for feature film "Valley of the Sun" starring Johnny Wentworth, Barry Corbin, Paul Dooley, Garrett Morris and Heather Burns. While there is no pay for extras it is a fun opportunity to dress up and pretend to be an Adult Film Star partying at a beautiful mansion in the Arcadia district. No experience necessary. E-mail a photo looking your hottest to valley@movieworknow.com. Type in the subject line: POOL PARTY, and be sure to include your phone number with your e-mail. Shooting takes place Thursday, October 1st.

Seems as though the deadline passed for all of us to work as Adult Film Stars for free. But it sounds kinda fun, no? Come on, live a little. Maybe more would have applied too if we knew Johnny Whitworth was in this instead of Johnny Wentworth.

Just sayin'!

Johnny Whitworth: Valley Of The Sun (2010)

ok I managed to hijack wi-fi on my laptop hopefully long enough to get this posted. I'm still in the extremely hot, but gorgeous Clearwater Beach, FL at my home away from home for a weekend wedding. I have no internet since I'm hardly ever here and the blackberry just won't do for this one...

Thanks to Jane for the latest- Johnny Whitworth has a new movie in production! Yay!

VALLEY OF THE SUN (2010)
"A disenfranchised adult film star, is forced to live with his parents in an Arizona retirement community, where he discovers his place in life." (from IMDb)

OK. I don't even know where to start here. Johnny please tell me you are the disenfranchised adult film star. If so, believe me, we already love it.

You're killin' me Whitworth. In a good way.

So we need more info on this, thanks Jane for the great news about Johnny's latest project. Johnny, call me so we can talk about the movie for the Johnny Whitworth FanSite. kidding. You can just text me. Still kidding guys, calm down.

Hi Jo!

talk to you later!

Regina

Johnny- Regina says you are totally delicious. (That's a good one. Delicious.)

Regina- You get an A for effort for trying to tell JW you think he's delish. Don't give up, but don't stalk. I kid.

I'd love to be able to share more with everyone who asks, but I have no idea what he's up to. My head will fall off and roll down the hallway the day he sends me an email saying..."Jo, here's an update from me for the fansite."

It could happen.

IMDb This Week

Phew, he's back up 9%. We'll take it! The usual co-stars on my list are all either down in ratings or unchanged. What's that? You want me to list some of them?

Gerard Butler....No Change

Milo Ventimiglia...Down 10%

Michael C. Hall...Down 12%

And of course you know I have to get in my 2 cents worth. Eddie Cibrian is up in popularity thanks to his CSI:Miami debut, but not nearly as good as last week. Jesse who?

Jake Berkeley Weekend TV

A friend asked me to join his team in a game of company paintball tonight. It's what these guys do to blow off steam when they can't fire their real weapons apparently. He joked that even though they'd secretly love it, I better not show up in my heels.

The nerve.

Little does he know that not only do I already know how to play tactical paintball (don't ask), I can rock the goofy mask, chest protector and knee pads just as easily as my heels and still make it look good. Sorta'. There's only so much you can do with that gear, you know?

Anyway, here's some Jake Berkeley for your weekend viewing pleasure:

----------------------------------------------

Fri. Oct. 2nd @ 11:00pm on AETV
CSI: Miami Dangerous Son Episode #6.1

Sat. Oct. 3rd @ 3:00am on AETV
CSI: Miami Dangerous Son Episode #6.1

Sun. Oct. 4th @ 11:00pm on AETV
CSI: Miami Bang, Bang, Your Debt Episode #6.4

----------------------------------------------

Gotta run. Somebody, somewhere is hiding behind a bush, just waiting to try and nail me with paintballs. Catch me if you can is all I have to say.

Reach For Me Facebook Update

Hey Jo!

Still loving your site & your wonderful sense of humor! Now all we need is to hear from the man himself (lol) or at least to hear he's keeping busy with something we'll all get the chance to see.

Just in case you haven't yet seen this update (it's from RFM's facebook):

"REACH FOR ME played to sold out crowds, standing ovations and swept another top award at the prestigious SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!! BEST FEATURE - AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD and SEYMOUR CASSEL received the festival's INDIE ICON AWARD!!"

That festival was last weekend. Glad to hear the movie continues to be well-received wherever it plays, but damn, don't they think the rest of us would like a chance to view it somewhere other than on our computer screens?! I actually contacted the producer some time ago asking when it might show up on DVD, but never got a response. Maybe we need to start a mass Email campaign.. It really is a wonderful movie & it's a shame everyone isn't getting a chance to see it. It plays a couple more small festivals in Oct. (none near me, though...)

Looking forward to the new pics when they show up.

Take care,
Jane

Jane said I could post her email but to add:

"that it's one of the most heartbreaking, heartwarming, & life-affirming movies I've seen and that Johnny & Seymour were both fantastic in it! It's a movie that really does deserve to be seen (unlike most of the crap playing at the theaters)."

Jane is one awesome Johnny Whitworth fan. I'm gonna finally watch Reach for Me, Jane- I swear!!

Congrats to the entire Cast & Crew for yet another award at the SDIFF!

xoxo

My Opinion of E.C. on CSI Miami

I can't sleep. Did I tell you guys that I finally watched the season premiere of CSI:Miami? Yes, I forced myself to get through those super corny flashbacks.

I wanted to watch it and see what Eddie Cibrian had to bring to the show. And most of you know how I feel about Eddie Cibrian. He's no Jake Berkeley, ok?

So, Eddie Cibrian portrays "Jesse Cardoza" on CSI:Miami. He was kind of cute, I'll give him that, but I wasn't really feeling the new "character". Yaaawn.

In all fairness, Eddie Cibrian does seem like the kind of guy that can keep my interest for a few minutes... until a guy like Johnny Whitworth walks into the room.

You know I'm right.

xoxo
P.S. Bring back Jake Berkeley.
