Is It Friday Yet.

My friend Liz lives in Los Angeles and she called me last night, half-hysterical and totally pissed because she can't find the right kind of work and she's been there for 5 years. She acts..and in LA, who doesn't?

OK so I asked her what she's done for jobs - apparently she has been in Johnny Whitworth's presence as an extra but never got less than 20 feet near him. Outstanding, good job Liz. btw, anything over 5 feet is out of his presence. Anyway, she said he was gorgeous. oh really? I hadn't noticed.

I gave Liz her assignments and the name of my favorite wine and told her to get busy. No pro bono unless you're Johnny Whitworth! wait...that's not entirely true, I do tons of freebies for friends, but JW is one of my top pro bono picks if he wanted it, he just doesn't know it.

And if you're anything like Liz, remember this:

#1- be careful who you trust for f@#$%'s sake. it's L.A.

#2- cut anyone loose if they're taking you sideways instead of up.

#3- brand yourself 24/7. there's only one you, make them want it, bad.

Tuesday Johnny Whitworth Madness

I captured a rare anomaly for you as www.johnnywhitworth.com appears ahead of his almighty IMDb rating in Google. We'll fall back to #2 in a few minutes but I take it when I can. I'm a geek like that.

So I wrote a press release for someone at 4am this morning, which is ok because I can do them in my sleep when I have to. Or so I thought. Then I forwarded it to Amber for a proof and here's what she said:

The Dark Fields with Johnny Whitworth

Check out the just released behind-the-scenes video journals from the set of The Dark Fields. Director Neil Burger answers a few questions and gives some insight on the process of creating this upcoming blockbuster film.

There isn't much action in these videos but welcome to the world of filmmaking, lots of waiting around and a ridonkulous amount of people to set up one 45 second shot. Still, we get a more in-depth look at the production of The Dark Fields through the eyes of Neil Burger and I gotta admit, this movie sounds very cool.

Johnny Whitworth won't give me the inside scoop on his character, I tried. If you go to IMDb and check out the cast list for The Dark Fields, you'll see that everyone and their mother has their character assigned to them . But not Johnny. wtf. when are you gonna give it to me Johnny? calm down, people.

Anyway, watch the videos and then go to Amazon.com where vultures are selling used copies of The Dark Fields book for the bargain basement price of just $42. And that's for paperback, k? Go to the library.

And another thing. We can't have Brad Cooper hogging all the publicity for The Dark Fields, it's killin' me. Trust me when I tell you every other person in this film has the potential to get smoked by the Coop if they don't ramp it up. Don't take my word for it though, google The Dark Fields along with any actor/actresses name and check out the numbers.

If you're a true Johnny Whitworth fan, start now just by sharing the fact that the one and only Johnny Whitworth will be starring ('cause he's a star) in a hot new movie called The Dark Fields due out in 2011.  facebook it, twitter it, youtube it, discuss it... whatever your pleasure is. Jake Berkeley Fever Continues!

"Johnny brought the sexy back to Miami! Not only did he look every inch the smokin' undercover cop, he nailed his scenes, bringing energy to a show that's been lacking of late. If CBS had been smart, they would've promoted the heck out of his guest-starring role. Instead all we got was a dull promo without a glimpse of Johnny, no promo stills, & no build-up. No wonder ratings are going down. Jake Berkeley is the most intriguing character they've had. Bring him back more often and maybe the fans will come back as well. Or better yet, spin him off into his own series."

Let the network, production company and producers know that Johnny Whitworth was the best part of CSI: Miami last night!

I recommend sending fanmail RIGHT NOW to the address below and write JOHNNY WHITWORTH FANMAIL on the bottom of the envelope. They won't even need to open it to know that fans demand more Johnny. Most likely they'll forward anything to his manager's office but it's super important that they know JW was very well received by the audience.
