Get Your Jake Berkeley On Today

Thur. July 29th @ 11:00am on AETV
CSI: Miami / If Looks Could Kill Ep. /#5.4

Thur. July 29th5:00pm on AETV
CSI: Miami / If Looks Could Kill /Ep. #5.4

By the way, the super sweet Emily Procter (CSI: Miami's 'Calleigh Duquesne'...the on-again, off-again love interest of 'Jake Berkeley') has confirmed that she's pregnant and that they will not be writing her pregnancy into the show.

This is a huge bummer because I would so love to see Jake and Eric embroiled in an on-going paternity debacle.  Although a pregnancy arc isn't exactly what CSI: Miami needs right now, BRINGING JAKE BERKELEY BACK might help. Another Eddie Cibrian will not help. Just sayin'.

Valley of the Sun Mini Update

All joking aside about porn and porn stars, one of our favorite screen actors, Johnny Whitworth, confirmed a productive shoot for Valley of the Sun in Chicago, IL last weekend at a popular adult entertainment convention.
According to Johnny Whitworth, they were there to "put Vick in improvised situations to capture "images" for the opening credits".
Those are some carefully crafted words if I do say so myself. He's good.

Johnny stars as 'Andy Taggert', aka 'Vick Velour' in Valley of the Sun, which should be ready to be picked up for distribution in the near future. If not, I'll be happy to bang down some theater doors.

Check out this very recent review where The Things We Carry was given 3 out of 5 stars (whatever)- the reviewer does his job and hits on what worked for him and what didn't. However, he totally does not disappoint us right here:
"It’s a denizen of prostitutes, thieves and junkies. Kim (Ilene Graff) is the resident old kook who befriended their mother, Sunny Roberts (Alexis Rhee), during her saner moments. There’s also Jeremiah, a helpful fellow junkie — an excellent Johnny Whitworth, whose eyes peer like open wounds."

He's completely right. For me, half of what Johnny does comes from his eyes- the hallmark of an exceptional actor.  We can talk about the other half of what he does for me (as an actor, ok? geez) in another post.

Also, The Things We Carry (starring Johnny Whitworth) took another award recently at the 2010 San Fransisco United Film Festival for Best Narrative. The awards that this film has been collecting are publicity gold for indy filmmakers... so nice job to the Lobit sisters. Someday we hope to see them at Cannes, Toronto or Sundance :)

And of course nice job Johnny Whitworth..you're publicity gold, I'm just not convinced you know it yet.

Friday Fun

LOLz!

I'm hijacking a clients computer to post this- how could I not.... it's good on so many levels. Search for a porn convention, get the Johnny Whitworth FanSite!

Make no mistake, Johnny Whitworth has not become a porn actor. Not for you anyway. I kid. He plays "Vick Velour" in the upcoming movie, Valley of the Sun-
a "dramatic comedy that follows the story of Andy Taggert (Johnny Whitworth), a man who suffers a mid-life identity crisis and finds himself in the most unlikely of places, an Arizona retirement community."
Johnny Whitworth may (or may not) be in Chicago to shoot some b-roll for Valley of the Sun this weekend although I can't entirely confirm either one, I'm not his publicist. just sayin'.

be good!

Valley of The Sun Star Johnny Whitworth Filming at Chicago Porn Convention This Weekend

Johnny Whitworth expects to be in Chicago this weekend with his crew to film some cutaway footage as part of the final packaging process for the upcoming Valley of the Sun movie. Even better, it will take place at a major porn convention, which I'm assuming is the one and only supa' high class eXXXtacy 2010.

Johnny Whitworth will be there as "Vick Velour" representing the Ron Jeremy's of the world while they shoot the b-roll footage and I'm sure the guys are all really pissed that they have to do this at a porn convention... btw,  if in another world I am ever forced to film a porn, puh-leeze let Ron Jeremy be out sick that day. I will only film a porn with Johnny Whitworth Vick Velour. Yes I said it.

Johnny also tells us that over the next couple of weeks, they'll be getting their VOTS reshoots during the cool and balmy 105 degree days in Arizona. He also let us have a teaser about Vick Velour's no doubt perfect naked scene after "having a nervous breakdown & walking off a porn set." good stuff. killing me softly Johnny.

I ditched an after-party full of grabby VIP's tonight and I totally don't feel bad about it. I have a small butterfly tattoo on my lower back and my dress kind of showed it everytime I turned. This makes some men crayzay and they feel the need to touch it, which creeps me out because the lower back is kind of in a zone which you do not touch unless you have clearance, right? No one there had clearance, that's all I'm saying.

Sometimes a hot shower and room service is soo much better.

Visit Valley of the Sun on Facebook and show your support!

Johnny Whitworth This Week

According to the IMDb STARmeter... Johnny Whitworth is UP 37% this week while his co-star in The Dark Fields, Bradley Cooper, is DOWN 38%. Did I find my new Eddie Cibrian? I'm soo kidding, calm down.

There are no tv listings available this week for Johnny Whitworth so visit NetFlix online and rent him.

Got up close with Bret Michaels this weekend for an earth shattering 4 minutes and I can confirm that he does not smell at all like bimbos and booze. Super nice, totally humble hottie. Scared to touch the hair tho. It wasn't I-wanna-run-my-fingers-through-it like Johnny Whitworth's.

Anyway.

I'm in Chicago, L.A. (don't worry JW I'm not coming for you) and then..ta-dah..Hoboken, New Jersey this week. Wish me luck.

Johnny and Facebook

No No Nooo I absolutely did not put up this Facebook Fan Page for Johnny.. don't worry, the whole world will know if/when we decide to do that.

And holy hell, do not try and find the real Johnny Whitworth here, k?

In fact, you won't have much luck getting him on FB, I guess you could understandably call it off-limits but you can try and hit him up on MySpace to say hi or leave a comment. Don't do it after you've been drinking though. Or after 2am.

New 'The Dark Fields' Release Date with Johnny Whitworth

I'm kidding , he's not mine. Can I borrow him tho?

My hottest source of Johnny Whitworth news let me know that The Dark Fields, which had an original release date of March 18, 2011, now has a brand new release date of January 21, 2011. Even better.

Distributed by Universal through Rogue Pictures, The Dark Fields is now in post and we're officially on trailer watch. And with an approx. 6 month theatrical release, I would say that now would be a good time for their press team to bust a move. I'm just sayin'.

The sexiness talent (Johnny Whitworth, Brad Cooper, Robert DeNiro) in this film (along with the very cool suspense-thriller plot of course) is highly marketable, even a little exploitable in a good way, so let's hope they bring the publicity down hard.

"The Dark Fields is an exciting “What if?” story that unveils a designer drug that could make you rich and powerful. Eddie (Bradley Cooper) is a down and out New York writer until he comes to possess a pill that gives him the ability to access the full capacity of his brain. Soon Eddie realizes the use of his newfound superior intelligence and success comes at a heavy price as mysterious antagonists pursue him and dangers of the amazing new drug are revealed."
Sounds awesome.

Have an amazing weekend!

Three Ways to Have Johnny This Week

THE RAINMAKER (1997)
Friday July 9th @ 8pm EDT on CNBC

So What Happened To Reach for Me?

Angelo Giordano of Giordano Entertainment, Las Vegas had this to say to me when I asked him for a REACH FOR ME status update this weekend...

"We edited the film to release in the faith base markets first then later in the summer movie will release to the main stream markets"

Super. Summer of what year?

And faith based marketing. My brain hurts. While I see the obvious element of faith in REACH FOR ME, focusing on this demographic for the film seems unnecessary, sorry. Regrets/Old Age/Cancer/Dying ARE COMMON TO ALL OF HUMANITY and don't exist only in faith based communities. Mainstream the film from day one instead of leaving a trail of lukewarm faith based marketing results. If it doesn't have enormous religious or controversial stigmas attached to it, don't bother splitting up the faith demos, results are wildly unpredictable unless the film is highly tuned into Christian values, triggers, likes and dislikes . Plus, faith doesn't necessarily make decisions for moviegoers these days. But what do I know? For the record, I'm a nice Catholic girl with plenty of faith in case you were wondering.

Johnny Whitworth co-stars as 'Kevin' alongside Seymour Cassel as terminally ill hospice patients in REACH FOR ME (2009).  Johnny should have been positioned as the lead actor, but I can't turn back time now can I?

We'll revisit with Angelo Giordano next month on the pending summer mainstream release and see how that faith based marketing is going!

xoxo

p.s.- My opinions above are exactly that...opinions. They do not necessarily in any way, shape or form reflect the views of Johnny Whitworth and of course as his fansite admin, I support the how, when and where of his projects. Good luck to the distribution team during this phase and we hope to see Reach for Me in all major metropolitan theaters in the near future!

Are You Kidding Me.

What's wrong with this picture:

That's right. Apparently I've been fooled. Johnny Whitworth is over 110 years old according to the rocket scientist who wrote this biography. Oh and I guess Johnny is German as well as being one the oldest living humans in our galaxy.

This has totally ruined my day now that I know that Johnny Whitworth is too old for me.

TGIF!

Johnny Whitworth Has Spoken

Thanks to Johnny Whitworth, he's a good guy for taking five to give us a quick update:
  • Some reshoots are planned for Valley of the Sun so they can make the Sundance Film Festival deadline. Yay! And he's REALLY excited about filming in Arizona in the heat of the summer. ugh, sorry JW.
  • I guess there's a good buzz going about VOTS and The Dark Fields, he said he hears good things but we need to uncover more news. I'll see what I can do..
  • He said no news on CSI: Miami yet which means we don't get to know if/when Jake Berkeley will return. But I will go on the record for saying that it would be a colossal mistake if they don't bring him back. Isn't there a nice vacancy where Eddie-My-Girlfriend-Got-Me-Fired-Cibrian used to be? (hehe)
and he had this to say too about what he's doing right now-
"im just taking it easy and reading scripts but i havent found anything that has got me motivated yet."
What's that? Does he need help feeling motivated? I'm on him! I'm on it! for real (I know, I'm a perv sometimes, just keepin' it real) But seriously. We're all hoping he finds THE script that's going to take him to the next level. It's out there.

I can't remember if I forgot anything but at least we have a couple of things to keep an eye on as they develop.  And I'm pretty sure I can come up with a few ways to add my 2 cents worth, no?
