Still Here

I appreciate Johnny's semi-frantic fans who send me emails like this:

"I am dying over here without any Johnny Whitworth news!......where are youuuu!?.......we neeeed you!! ;-)"
And then there's this:

"wtf where do you go no updates for wks."

Where do I go? No where. I wait by the phone for Johnny's call. Been almost two years now, I should leave my house soon, no?

I apologize to those of you who emailed me in the last 2 weeks and haven't heard back yet- I expect a reply when I send an email and you probably do too. I think we can all agree that not replying is rude, and for most people (that's right, me) time is valuable. But when work kicks me in the ass, I run out of time. I promise I will answer you as soon as I can if you sent in a question/comment for the fansite recently. ♥

And I don't know where Johnny Whitworth is but don't worry, I still have the hots for him. I'm sure he'll be so relieved to know that.

I broke my pinky finger in Utah last week. If you've never had the pleasure of breaking a pinky, congratuf*ckinlations.

SENDING FANMAIL PART TWO!

Ginny from the Netherlands wrote back with another good comment on sending Johnny fanmail..

"...I really want to thank you! I've read the new topic on the site and this really helps a lot! I'm hoping to buy the card and the stamps this week if I can find the time after school. To be honest, the most difficult part of the whole fanmail is to actually know what to write on the postcard. That's probably going to take up some time. :P"

Don't stress over it girl and start with some basic flattery, he's a guy before he's a celebrity. Here's some ideas:
  • First things first, tell him he's gorgeous..'cause he is.
  • Show support, enthusiasm and interest for what he does.
  • Tell him what your favorite role of his has been for you.
  • Tell him something about yourself, avoid auto-biographies.
  • Tell him, speaking as a fan, what he's best at on screen.
  • Promise to be a fan as long as he keeps making movies.
  • Wish him luck on many successful future projects.
At the end, thank him for reading your note and state your request. If you want his autograph, now is a good time to ask. Include the picture, postcard or photo you want signed if you have one. Don't be afraid to ask for a signed photo but even a blank index card or photo you printed off yourself could come back to you signed.

A friend of mine had a fan send him a small container of homemade meatballs along with the apron she said she wore while otherwise completely naked as she prepared the meatballs for him. barf. naturally, she wanted the autographed apron back.

To all fans, please avoid sending packages, food or things that were on your naked body as this is not a turn-on for a celebrity who has never met you. Your gift of food will not be eaten and Haz-Mat will be pissed if they have to come remove your toxic meatballs.

That being said...good luck, keep what you write short, sweet and courteous and you'll never go wrong.

Ginny also had this to say about the Johnny Whitworth fansite:
"It's just amazing to know that there are more people out there who love this badass. ;)"
I couldn't have said it better myself.

Sending Fanmail to Johnny Whitworth...... How To Do It and What To Expect

--------------------------------

First let me just get this off my chest. I have nothing whatsoever to do with this:

http://theofficialpageof.com/johnny-whitworth/

In fact, when the words "official page" and "johnny whitworth" came up together I almost hit the floor thinking he actually went official without me. Absurd, right? I know. Then I saw the site and phew..wasn't worried anymore. Decent concept but someone somewhere will give them shit for using "the official page of" alongside their name. give it time.

But if he ever does go official without me, it's over between us. Wow that sounded so effin' ridiculous I even surprised myself.

hokay, let's move on.

---------------------------------

Here's something I'm sharing from a fan named Ginny because I've gotten these types of questions before and maybe this will help other people with the same questions. Then again maybe not. Stay with me people.

"I just recently discovered your Johnny Whitworth fansite, thank you. For questions I could contact you by this email address? I'm thinking about sending a postcard to his fanmail address. The latest address that's the right one? I've seen many more on the internet but since this is a fansite, I trust this one. ;) Also I wanted to ask if you ever sent anything and got something back? I live in the Netherlands, Europe and I don't have the experience of sending postcards to foreign countries or to fanmail addresses. So, I don't know quite how all of this works all together. Do you really need to send a picture along if you want to get an autograph?..."

To my knowledge, the Luber/Roklin address is still Johnny's point of contact for any fanmail or inquiries. I've never sent him anything in the mail (no I've never sent any bras, panties or marriage proposals..relax) so I can't tell you firsthand exactly what will happen. You don't have to have an 8x10 glossy of Johnny to send for him to sign, but if you had something particular you want signed, you'd have to include the item/photo and a note with your request. Do you guys want me to take one for the team and see if I get a reject stamp on my request? I knew it.

MOST IMPORTANTLY include a self-addressed stamped large letter-sized envelope folded in half with whatever the postage is from the Netherlands to the US and affix it to the front of the envelope. This all then goes inside a larger envelope that you are sending (more postage needed) to his fanmail address. I don't think the Netherlands has International Reply Coupons anymore so you'll have to find out what the cost will be and buy regular postage. Buy a little more than you think you will need just to be safe so that your envelope doesn't get returned to Johnny's office for insufficient postage and they file it in a not-so-special place.

I would send your postcard or letter right now and see what you get back. With Johnny in Romania filming Ghost Rider 2, you'll most likely get an already stamped or personally autographed photo depending on what his office has on hand while he's not around. If he opens his own mail, reads your letters and signs as he goes, which everyone wants to believe happens with celebrities, expect to be waiting for a while but don't give up. I know he appreciates his fans and would want to thank you all personally whenever he can.

And the info from our CONTACT US page:

Johnny Whitworth is represented by Luber/Roklin Entertainment. Please send fanmail and direct all other inquiries to the following address:

Johnny Whitworth
c/o Lena Roklin
Luber/ Roklin Entertainment
8530 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 550
Beverly Hills, CA 90211

If you're sending fanmail:

At the bottom corner of the envelope write FANMAIL. Include a self-addressed and stamped envelope if you expect something back. If you want an autograph back make sure to include the picture or item you want signed. Include a self-addressed stamped return envelope.

Be normal. As much as we wish there was no the need to mention this, dating/marriage proposals or (revealing) pictures of yourself are absolutely inappropriate.

Be patient. Please don't attempt to contact Luber/ Roklin Entertainment to ask if Johnny received your letter or to ask where your autograph is. Replies can take weeks or months depending on Johnny's schedule.

-------------------------------

Good luck! :) And let me know if you don't get anything back, I'll tell his mom on him. I'd have to ask Johnny for her email address though..that would be kinda' lame, no?

Happy Friday

Finally...

CSI: Miami
Bang, Bang, Your Debt (#6.4)
Fri. Jan. 7th @ 9:00am and then again @ 3:00pm on AETV

Isn't this the episode where the CSI: Miami writers said hey let's make everyone think Speedle is actually alive and then when we get people to watch we'll rip their hearts out by turning it all into DELKO SEEING GHOSTS. Oh hey then let's start auditioning for a replacement 'cause we never should have let Rory Cochrane go..hmm does anyone know if Scott Baio is free... ugh.

Anyway. Watch the episode if you want to see Jake Berkeley make it all better for CSI: Miami.

--------------------------------------------------

"hi luv what you do is hot, about the porn convention fans can view that photo with 3D glasses here http://www.hotgirlsin3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/exxxtacy2010-020-anaglyph.jpg "

I know, I know, I forgot to mention it's a 3D pic. And I know you all keep an extra pair of 3D glasses for occassions like these, no? It's the kind of thing you never have when you need them. Johnny Whitworth in 3D, there's only one thing better than that.

I'm wiped and I don't know what part of the country I'm in anymore. I'm ecstatic for all the talented people who took home awards but where the hell is mine, that's all I wanna know.

Valley of the Sun and That Porn Convention

Back in August, Johnny Whitworth (as porn star 'Vick Velour') along with the Valley of the Sun film crew, attended the super classy eXXXtacy 2010 Porn Convention in Chicago, IL. Here's what someone else who was there had to say about it on their blog-
"If you were looking for a little celebrity-sighting, Johnny Whitworth of CSI:Miami fame made an appearance, not as a guest, but as an exhibitor! Apparently shooting scenes for his new movie, Valley Of The Sun, Whitworth was in character as male pornstar Vick Velour. I took plenty of photos and video of Mr. Whitworth, but the production team kindly asked me to remove the photos and not post them. They said it was ok to post pics of his booth area though..."
I'm sorry..his booth area? without him in it? why yes, that's exactly what we want to see...his table.

#1- They will always ask you to remove the photos. #2- Post them anyway and tell them they can thank you later for the free publicity.

I'm kidding. They will turn you inside out to protect their work so be careful of unauthorized use of photos and footage, yours or theirs, while a film is in production including pre and post.
And for f*ck's sake do as I say, not as I do.

I have to be in Pasadena by 6pm and I'm still eating a muffin while watching Amber trying like a rookie to seduce the new guy outside of my office. The new guy who by the way cannot make eye contact with me yet and forgets how to speak full sentences when I ask him something. I don't bite.. no matter what you hear.

xoxo
