Johnny Whitworth Took Me to the Royal Wedding....It Was So Romantic

We had a great time, thanks for asking. It almost feels like it never even happened. weird. I actually haven't even watched any of it yet, but I did put my babe in fear of his life if he forgot to TiVo it.

Anyway.

Something cool- Valley of the Sun got a shout out thanks to Valley of the Sun cast member, Garrett Morris, doing a SNL reunion show for Oprah. Check it out here.

For the record, Valley of the Sun needs more outreach. Do I need to go into one of my tutorials here? No I do not, it's friday. Or as my tech team says, it's FuckItFriday. Anyway, my point is this- Valley of the Sun has a hot little film in their hands and oh hey look at that, the star of the film is JOHNNY WHITWORTH. Do the math.

If you go to the Valley of the Sun facebook page, you can see their new profile pic. One can only assume it's Johnny, naked and looking out over..wait for it.. a valley, but we can't see his face and that irks me. A bit of a profile (facial, don't be a perv) would have been stellar, but what do I know? We'll save that for another day.

******

Also, Johnny confirmed that he'll be at Comic-Con 2011 to promote Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. yay!

The Neveldine-Taylor duo apparently have big plans for what they'll be revealing at Comic-Con.

From totalfilm.com:
"We’re gonna do a huge splash at the Comic-Con. That’s when we really want people to see what the new, evolved Ghost Rider looks like as well as the first peeks at the villains."
"Taylor also briefly talked up the sequel's villain, Blackout (Johnny Whitworth), and announced the new-look Ghost Rider would be revealed at Comic-Con"
"Blackout’s a fun character. His powers are pretty cool, we did things with his powers that aren’t in the original comic books."

By the way, Comic-Con badges have been sold out since like.. the first day they went on sale. But you might be able to grab some refund badges as they add them back into their inventory. Best way to do this is to subscribe to their RSS feed, as soon as the site gets updates, you'll know. Be on top of it though since newly available Comic-Con badges have a shelf life of about 30 seconds or less. If you're prone to anxiety, don't even bother, k?

And If you've never been to Comic-Con, it's like opening up a comic book and putting on 3D glasses. the freaks characters jump right out at you. It's a hot time though and if you're going this year, you get to see Johnny and he gets to wait in fear that I'm 2 feet behind him at all times. I'm kidding.. he'll know if I'm there 'cause my arms 'n legs will be wrapped around him. I can't help it.

And then there's this...

A new Johnny Whitworth fan is born ♥

The Easter Bunny Came Early

From the man himself, Johnny Whitworth sends his love and wishes all of you a Happy Easter.

Someone taped chocolate covered Peeps all over my phone and set them up in formation across my desk. The work of a rookie.

Happy Easter ♥

What's New With VALLEY OF THE SUN

Valley of the Sun, I've missed you.

VALLEY OF THE SUN, starring Johnny Whitworth, gets its domestic premiere (yay!) at the 2011 Newport Beach Film Festival on Wednesday May 4th, at 7:45pm in Costa Mesa, CA!
BUY TICKETS HERE

If you don't follow their Facebook page already, please hit it up right.this.very.second and click the Like button. I can't stand to see them stuck at just 662 fans for another minute.

But seriously, and with the best of intentions, I recommend that VOTS place an extra emphasis on having a kick ass social media strategy before they head into any festivals. And they can do this right away. Here's my highly coveted yet completely unsolicited advice they didn't ask for but they're gonna get anyway.

FOCUS ON YOUR FANBASE. What you have now on Facebook is an organic core of people directly connected to the film in one way or another plus a few friends and yes anything that hovers around 500-600 in film marketing is considered a few. They're a first level fanbase and if used correctly, they're your champions and will effortlessly build more levels if you ask. USE THEM CORRECTLY.

Build an official website asap, and I do mean a real website,  and I do mean asap - an interactive, one-stop Valley of the Sun Feature Film portal with stellar content. It must be done. For the fans and for the media. From there, your other lifelines, Facebook, Twitter, etc.., must flow out of there seamlessly to engage new and existing fans on a regular basis as you go through the festival circuit.

-Make it a priority to capture fans at each festival and send them to the film's official site. What are you going to give them once they get there? You have 10-15 seconds if you're lucky- tell them where to click NOW. Give them something exclusive to watch, hear, download or share. Get yourself some Limited Edition Valley of the Sun merch and make it available for purchase- even if no one buys anything, making it available is a marketing function in itself. DO IT. Make it a priority to capture email addresses ON YOR SITE and AT FESTIVALS for future exclusive communication about the film. And then of course have something exclusive to offer.

OK I'm done. for now. And we wish VOTS much success as they kick-off the first of what we hope will be many productive festivals for them. Please show your support wherever you can!

You can see JOHNNY WHITWORTH in a Speedo on a big screen for goodness sake. He's a sexy, sexy man.

Don't forget to follow Valley of the Sun on Facebook for news and upcoming screenings!

Coachella kicked my ass but if you were there, you know it was worth it. I asked a fairly well-known artist why we didn't see more of him in the media and he told me he's afraid that if he shows too much of himself, the person behind the performances, no one will like who he really is. Wrong reason. Show who you are. You can control what you show, but but don't expect to connect with more people if they think there's nothing more to know.

And then I gave him half of my granola bar and he kind of slapped me on the tush and let his hand sit there a half a second too long.
I liked it.

Johnny Whitworth Lover Alert

I know you are girl.

Coachella Fest this weekend (yes yes yes Marcus Mumford) and I just want to say.. I once threw up in Coachella Valley. but in my defense, I was 6 years old, it was 105 degrees, the air conditioner in my parents car just shit the bed, they were smoking Marlboro Reds with the windows rolled up and I had just eaten a marshmallow with a cheese puff I stuffed inside of it...which I would say definitely turned out to be the barf catalyst.

I'm ok now.

Happy Monday Johnny Whitworth Fans

That's simply an outstanding t-shirt with the grey sweater vest actually printed onto the fabric. My babe knows better than to ever show up wearing one of those delightful tees because I will rip it off his body and suffocate him with it, but I believe this young man somehow makes it work. To be fair, visit his entertainment site at http://www.hollywoodtreatment.net/blog/

Johnny Whitworth is sexy. Catch him today in two different roles that are largely responsible for making him the subject of female fantasies all around the world. Not mine of course, that would be so unprofessional.

Empire Records
Mon. Apr. 11th @ 4:00pm EST on ENCORE

CSI: Miami
Internal Affairs (Episode #5.12)

I didn't do this, I swear.

Who the mother-f came up with this. I fail to see the resemblance. Joaquin has a hotness about him but he weirds me out a bit. Fine..alot. And if you're ever presented with the opportunity of having a conversation with Johnny Whitworth or Joaquin Phoenix (don't worry, it will never happen), I'm gonna go ahead and say.... DO NOT let Johnny Whitworth get away.  juuust sayin'.

So I had access to Duran Duran at one of their North America kick off concerts this weekend. Yes they were an 80's band, but they're still around and I will tell you that bassist John Taylor was my biggest.pre.teen.crush.ever. EVER.

Of course, I wasn't about to miss my opportunity to meet John Taylor after the show. I had 5 minutes to work with before they vacated the venue to catch a plane and if you learn one thing, it's DON'T WAIT. I got the cue and pressed my body up against his as hard as I could and hugged him like my pre-teen brain always told me to do if I got the chance..and he was sweaty and he's 51 years old and I didn't care. It was that good. I think my feet came off the ground at one point. They gave us about 10 seconds and then peeled us apart. My friend was there to do the photography and he had to grab my arm before I tried going back for more.

If you get a chance to go see them, you definitley should- they're still pretty hot in concert (yes even for older dudes) and their shows are selling out. And thank you to John Taylor for the squeeze, the smooch and for not making me wait another 24 years.

And I just got this email today:
"Hello, what's up with Johnny , anything new? Saw him in Limitless that movie was good and he's such a great actor,, but I can't find anything about his next projects after Ghost Rider. Do you know?"
Sorry, I don't know. If it was up to me which it is not of course, I'd have him booked with some post Limitless work...as in  interviews, interviews, interviews... but that's just me. Thank you for supporting Johnny, I'm sure there will be some news soon!
