Yes even I missed it as I was attending a funeral on April 8th.. but amidst the heaviness of those days, the warmth of nostalgia can lighten any load. And in the case of Rex Manning Day, we can't deny it's ability to take you back for a bit, appreciate some iconic moments and remind you of its modern day significance (independent record stores, loss of small businesses, our youth, easier times, easier relationships..haha )
Plus, every April 8th you inevitably get to see pics of Johnny Whitworth circa 1995 and he was SO FREAKING CUTE. Ya the other dudes were dorky cute.. and sure Rex Manning was the storyline superstar.. but A.J. (Johnny Whitworth) was the boy you crushed on. Period.
